JD H decals

I am ready to put decals on my 1943 JD H and see that in most decal kits for sale they have two round H decals that many photos online show placed on both sides at the front. The JD parts catalog do not show these decals. Also, the old photos in
Green magazine and Two Cylinder Magazine do not show these. What is correct?

Don't have an H, but on A's, B's, etc. they didn't start using the round letter decals till about '47 or so. I'm guessing an H would be the same. I'm sure someone will jump in here soon to confirm or deny that.

On my two 39Hs there is not a decal h on them but I believe that in the 40s they started. I think that it only helps the people at tractor shows on what size they are. We put a little sing up front telling the size year hp and cost when new.

Rich is right... no "H" round decal on an H. Those came about in '47 with the "new" styled tractors, with the battery under the seat- the same time the H was phased out of production, and was replaced by the "M".
