It would take a Fairbanks Morse R2. Sorry but I couldn't find a place to buy one. I would suggest just looking online or calling a salvage yard. Good luck! Tom in Mn.

Service Manual-2024 shows for GPWT:

DLTX-5 and DLTX-15 for ser# 402040 to 404809.

DLTX-17 for ser# 404810 to end of production.

Note:
For ser# 400000 to 402039 I'd go with what Sleufoot said.
As far as trying to locate one the GP also used the DLTX-5 and DLTX-15 and the BR/BO used the DLTX-15.

Hi Pete, I guess this old Norwegian (me) is confused. Both of my sources show that the numbers you have listed are carburetor numbers. Does SM-2024 list them as mags.? Tom

(quoted from post at 03:51:17 05/11/20) ANYONE KNOW WHAT MAG IT TAKES AND WHO WOULD HAVE ONE?

The correct magneto for your tractor is a Fairbanks-Morse type R-2 base mount. JD's part # AC432R. Only used on GP's. If you have access to a GP part's book, look on pages 83 and 84. How big of hurry are you to find one? I just sent (3) of them to Mark's Magnetos in CT for total rebuild. When they're done, I'll have a spare available, but I don't know when they'll be done, may not be until late fall. These mags are pretty expensive. Feel free to PM me.
