1520 Hydraulics Stuttering

Friend has 1520 with loader. Loader hydraulics stutter up and, as I recall, down also. Bucket works this way as well. What might be causing this? Thanks. Paul.

Easiest & cheapest things to do is change hyd filter then check/clean trans oil sump screen. Also attach hyd gauge to system to check stand-by pressure which should be 2250 psi. What type valve controls loader & how is it attached to tractor hyd system. With 3 pt raised engine running look in hyd filler hole behind seat for moving oil.

Yes check pressure at scv. What type valve controls FEL? I suggest to disconnect & cap the power steering supply line then test hyd operation. Power steering valves have a history of failed o-rings or valve bodies causing hyd problems
