20 series wheel casting question

I have a 4320 that sits on 34" rears right now and would like to go to 38" rears, I have a chance to get the 38" castings from a 3020 and was wondering if the 3 1/8 axle castings from the 3020 would fit the 4320 by using the 3 3/8 casting wedges. Thanks in advance for any info.

Yes it will unless 3020 casting swapped in from say a 730. They had different sleeve angle even though 3 1/8 inch like most 3020's.

Several yrs back I saw some longer rear wheel wedges that were designed to mount 38'' rear wheels onto 34'' cast centers.

I just got the casting numbers from the wheels, they are actually from a 3010 and the number is R31610R would that still work with the larger axle wedges. Thanks.

Not sure on that one. Casting R48954 is 38 inch and will accept 3 1/8, 3 3/8 and 3 5/8 inch sleeves. Call good salvage yard and they should know about the castings off 3010. Your other routes are special rims with drop down ring or long clamps that will take a 38 inch double bevel rim on your existing cast centers.

Just something to think about before you switch. Don't know what you have for toolbars, but one that i have will clear the 18.4 x 34s on my 4020 but would hit a 18.4 x 38 tire.

On my 4020 I bought step up 38 rims new 750.00 might be the best way to go.
