Late 4020 SCV

On a 71 4020 Power Shift
Is it possible to get power beyond from any of the 4 ports marked for a loader and return to the filter cover.

Easiest way is to put a power beyond
block on it, hook up the two hoses
lenghthen the linkage rod and you are
done

The shallow plug on side of SCV is functional return like you want but, has a very thin side wall in
valve housing and a fitting installed just a bit too deep will touch / interfere with SCV cam /
moving parts, Recommend not to go there for these reasons. The plug at angle is a pressure cross
drill passage and very restrictive and recommend not to use it for that reason. The plug on top I
think has a control valve / ball under it?? May effect rate of drop on hitch and recommend not to
got there for that reason. The large plug on side of rockshaft control valve is used to access the
valve adjusting screw and would be a return to sump which you do not want to do. Long story short,
go online and purchase PB (power beyond) plate and do it right. It will work right when you get
done. DW

I could be wrong, but I thought I had read here on the forum that there is a place to tap into the high pressure line somewhere under the hood on a late 20 series. :?:

and I am with you that cutting out the rockshaft cover for the power beyond block does look like crap on most that I have seen.

If one chooses not to utilize a PBY block for an added hyd control valve one can tee into either end of hyd line(item 6) & return oil to ported filter cover or another option is teeing into rockshaft oil return line

Where do I find that line?
Under the platform?

Priority valve(item 7) is in front of firewall under the hood. Other end of line is located at RH rear of platform.
