1963 John Deere 1010 dozer gas

new member, self proclaimed mechanic, not a master of the trade.
I have a issue. My 1963 john Deere 1010 dozer has been working fine and operated great until last fall.I was running it on a kind of slope sideways and it started pulsing jerking and then just lost drive , fwd or reverse. I pulled it down to level ground and let it idle and after a bit it moved again ,,,but very slowly not like it was. put it on the trailer and brought it home. and it has set in the shed since.
So my question is , they talk about 2 dipsticks for the transmission/ reverser...where are they located?
I have looked all over the machine and have not found them,,,,,am I that blind, I am not to proud to ask some one ,,,,HELP.

I have a 1960 1010. My trans shifter is on the dashboard. Your's is on the floor? Otherwise, pretty much the same. I assume you actually have
a hydraulic reverser?

yes i have a reverser and my shifter is on the dash, not on the floorboards.
that dipstick on the r/h side of the machine fwd of the brake pedal , i will investigate that today.
The dipstick by the pto lever is seized and i will work that also. Thank you for the pointers.
On the l/h side of the machine fwd of the clutch pedal there is a vent there, is that a vent for the transmission?
