Hydraulic question

I have a newer model 4020 serial # 331757R. I'm trying to hook up a summit valve to a 148 loader. I understand how to plumb it to the loader. Where can I access the pressure side and return side of the hydraulic system on the tractor

By your posted serial number you have a late model 4020. The easiest and correct way to supply pressure and connect your loader
return from loader valve is to add a power beyond block / manifolds which will give you both ports and direct return oil back to
filter. The manifold is a ported plated the sandwiches between SCV and rockshaft housing. They can be purchased from manufture or
aftermarket. Just connect your two loader hoses to manifold and your good to go. No cutting / cobbing / modifying required. DW

I agree adding power beyond block is the best method for attaching an extra hyd valve for a frt end loader. When rockshaft cowling is reinstalled it will require being altered(cut) to accommodate scv because scv will extend further to the rear.

I to would suggest a power beyond block ,under left rockshaft cover, behind left SCV. Late model 20 series tractors are harder to do as hyd line from priority valve to rockshaft control runs under middle of platform, a tee can be put on ether end of line , but some reshaping of line is necessary; line can be cut under platform a tee brazed in , but gets labor intensive.. oil returned to tee at rockshaft return line above & little to right of oil filters , left side tractor..
