830 John Deere 3 cylinder

Yes. The open center hyd's carried over into the 2040's as well. I have one of the last early 2040's (not tiger stripe) that Dad bought new in 1977 that has the closed center hyd's. Tom

I remember selling JD 820/830 utility tractors when they were new. Very rarely did a new 820/830 tractor require any warranty repairs.
2040's were changed to closed center hyd's @ SN 266,750 which according to Tractordata was in 1978.

It appears JD 830's built for European sales had open center hyd's up through SN 258365

Tractor data has the three cylinder 830 production split into two separate groups, with an overlap in production ? The 2nd page lacks serial number info.

(quoted from post at 15:02:19 01/28/20) The second link, without a Nebraska test or a MSRP in US dollars, is the model sold in Europe.

Actually the rest of the entire world outside of the US. Hence the northern US States having Mannheim European 20,30 & 40 series tractors imported from Canada .
Many "Made in the USA" believers would be surprised at all the international content of US equipment sold in the US.

Would you please divulge some the types of equipment with """international content of US equipment""" sold in the US that you're referring to?
Thank You,Jim
