Dzus Fasteners

The Dzus fasteners on my 420 crawler hood keep vibrating loose. Any trick to keep them from doing so? One is behind a brace for the blade and kind of pain to get to it to re-tighten it. I assume with tracks that the crawler may vibrate more than a wheeled tractor. Thanks in advance.

That's just NUTZ, $75 for 11 pan-head screws and clipnuts!

They are just a wee bit cheaper @ McMaster.

On hard, rocky, or frozen surfaces a crawler definitely vibrates more than a wheel tractor. New Dzus fasteners will hold for a while. I have used "J" nuts, extruded "U" nuts, and regular bolts with washers and nylon locking nuts on working crawlers. The hood didn't have to come off often and they stayed. I understand wanting the correct fasteners on a restoration, but I looked for function at a reasonable cost. As per the posts here, there are options, just depends on what you want.

Thanks to everybody for the suggestions. I am going to try some 40 cent plastic washers first before I try to screw type fasteners, which are pretty pricy. Not
looking for originality but I want something functional without being ugly. Thanks much, again.
