A mess??? Why it ran when last parked !!!

Thats what the guy said his grandpa said... I haven't seen the remains yet but hopefully the guy takes some decent pics of what is left. I hope to buy it cheap

With the lower prices tractors are now bringing you would be much further ahead to buy a running B compared to what it will take to bring back a tractor like that. Now if you have deep pockets and want a big project go for it. If you are not a mechanic now you will be by the time you are finished. Sometimes the therapy of bring one back is worth more than the money spent. Tom

The guy is saying now it'll be next week before he gets any brush cleared out from around the tractor. He did mention it is a tricycle front end and there is no battery box under the steel seat. He said he will pull the plugs and spray penetrating oil down in the cylinders and let it soak. I told him about the 50/50 mix of ATF and Acetone.

I edited the pic I have and made it brighter, I do see a steering wheel with a suicide knob on it. Also see a gas cap and crankcase ventilation filler pipe

I talked to a tractor trader... he said the scales in ft worth are giving roughly 100 bucks a ton... minus the tires.

Looks like about $250 worth of tractor there to me.

I can actually see a bit of it in the second picture!

When I take that second photo and blow it up I can see the steering wheel, grill, parts of the hood and some other kind of attachment on the right side of the tractor. I'm sure the tires are rotted off of it.

I lightened up the pic once again

This could be the First of the styled B and worth lot of money? Who knows until you check for it?

it may not have been there long. That Virginia creeper can grow that much in just a year or so it’s about like kudzu.

The guy says it's been the five 1985-1990 approx. And those are BlackBerry vines

I removed one of these several years ago....couldn't see tractor for the briars...a friend took his trailer and a 1010. After 4 hrs we managed to cut it out and finally get it on trailer. You're just getting the cast iron value unless you're wanting the experience. You will economically negate on this one....but good luck you may need the experience.

That really shouldn't be that bad. However, I'd question the asking price. I'd offer $500 IF it ran the last time it was parked. I picked up a JD60 that had been sitting outside (no weeds or anything but mowed grass around it) for 25 years. Engine was locked up. for $250, raised the front end, diesel fuel in the cylinders and @ 4 months of patiently working it, I got it running. But like I said, if it was running and in decent shape, would be worth a counter offer.

Still waiting for the guy to clear the brush and send me some pics of this B...He has put me off till next week now
