Don't know what they are called I replaced the hood pins and the part the pins twist into 3 are missing --- does any one know what they are called and where to buy a couple.
Also below the rear tail light (missing will replace) there is an electrical receptical, the repair manual doesn't show what it was used for? At present no wires going to it

Got the 6 volt to 12volt conversion straightened out thanks to the help of many on this web site.

(quoted from post at 20:10:52 01/14/20) I went to look at a 148 loader today and the guy had a 40 in the shed. This one looked offset. Were the all that way?

Which model ? The T chassis for what ever reason appears "extra" offset.

They are called AirLoc fasteners. Used on airplane panels too. They are a PITA. Get the lookalike replacements that screw in. The female part of the thread goes right through the existing pin receptor. Not hard at all to install. Then just screw in the outer screw gently until you get it snugged down. Don't ding your paint this way. GM usually has a vendor advertise them. Sold as a whole set for the 40 hood.

The receptacle was to provide power to implements that were being towed. My 40 has one on it as does my 1010. I however do not have any implements with lights. There are many places that sell the male end that you can then wire to your implement lighting.
