Anyone remove one of these? My logic feels just removing the bolts & prying apart. Seems that ALL of the gears, etc are probably fixed & this just covers it!! Just my opinion. Cover is AM877000

I have a PDF of the technical manual for your tractor, if wanted shoot me your email
Might be good reading beforehand!

Thanks Joe; received it. I was looking & saw the transmission removal & it seems that when removing that front plate; I'd have to be careful. It seems that the front plate could be removed w/o removing trans from tractor. Have you done it before? Thanks This is not a 911; so I am going to take my time & be patient before diving in.

Joe: I did not look far enough. Page 130 seems to cover it; It states to remove 17 bolts & cover by rotating shifter arm to clear the shift fork notch. leave shift fork in transaxle assembly. This must be done as I have front cover slightly opened?? Anyway; will let you know how I did & will try to leave pics. Since this is an area that I have not tread into before; I will have the area well clean & lighted!! Thanks Again!!

As you dig into this, be aware that this is a hydro transmission and the gears and clutches use from the same oil reservoir as does the
hydro pump and motor. As these thing probably run in the 6,000 psi range, cleanliness is unbelievable critical.

Thanks: I will be very clean. My interest is the removal of the plate; wondering if there are any parts that may fall out & can I pry it apart w/no restrictions. If I perceived it correctly; there may be a fork that has to be turned a bit after the plate is partially removed for full removal. I AM going to be real careful & have the area well lighted & have a white cloth on the floor. My logic is that the internal parts are mounted & the plate is just a cover. I have been wrong before. I will proceed ASAP; awaiting the delivery of the plate. Thanks for the reply.
