2630 steering arm

Seal behind steering arm at bellhousing leaking. Just a matter of replacing seal or symptom of another issue like drain oil from steering valve excessive? Where does oil in cavity below valve drain? Steering works fine. Thanks, john

The back of that area is wide open to the transmission area.

Outside of the small amount of residual oil trapped there any amount of oil the steering unit can return simply dumps back to the rear end.

Replacing the seal should stop the leak, unless there's wear where the shaft pivots that needs to be addressed.
