I have a hydraulic line that rubbed against the trans cooler housing and has rubbed a leak in the line. One end of the line goes to the main pump underneath the front axle. The only way I can see to take that end lose is to remove the right side rail. Is it safe to remove that side rail without supporting the tractor?

" Is it safe to remove that side rail without supporting the tractor? "

WHY would you want to?

Not real tough to crib up and support it.

I?ve taken em off with no support under the tractor the engine is a structural Block will it hurt it ? It hasn?t mine

If I was removing a side frame on a 4020 I'd block up engine 1st. The only thing holding a 4020 engine to frt support that contains steering motor are the 2 side frames.
