Does anyone know the correct procedure for removing the steering shaft on a Deere 530? I have a leaking seal where the shaft goes into the steering valve that I need to replace. I have the 2 cap screws off the hold the steering shaft support to the valve housing and the worm gear out from the end of the shaft but there's not enough clearance to remove the shaft from the support . Any ideas? Thanks

On your 530 they made a pretty tractor but they forgot about working on some parts of it. the easiest way to get to the O ring is to remove the 4 bolts holding the worm and valve assembly to the mast and slide the whole piece off.
