1951 A distributor conversion

I have 1951 A with a bad mag. I have been told that it is possible to convert it to a distributor setup but am having absolutely no luck finding any information on how to go about it or the parts needed to do the job. ultimately since I do plan to use it for light chores on a regular basis I plan to convert it to 12v and use a one wire gm style alternator and would like to be able to make use of a 12v electronic ignition on the tractor. if anyone could point me in the right direction to do what I want to do I'd greatly appreciate it. thank you

Yes a MAGNETO can be replaced with battery required electrical distributor drive:

Theory on Lag Angle is a must to know if you are to replace a MAG ignition system and install a battery required electrical distributor.

Google the internet for info:

I shall try to take a picture of the two drives I have purchased off e-bay....to someday install on a JD Style "D"..

Pics ..battery ignition units I have...to be installed someday......

Important that you know...do you require LONG LUGS....or.... SHORT LUGS...

Ignition unit should be calibrated to fire at the proper Ignition Timing...
I have no connection in any way with the out of the box ready to go...picture off Internet.
