Hay Rake for JD B

I have been looking at rakes for my B and can't find a nice JD in the area but I have found a "New Idea" 402 that is really reasonable and close. Looking for parts for the New Idea seems pretty scarce but doing research I found on this board that Ford re-badged that same rake and I think it is model # 513. Parts availability on the Ford rake seem pretty decent but my question is, are the parts interchangeable with the New Idea machine? Maybe somebody in the western PA area has a nice JD they want to get rid of?

The New Idea is a belt drive and I never cared for that. Dad had one a short time and replaced it with a Deere 660. You are a little out of season right now but a good Deere 640 or 660 should be able to be found for $500-1000. If you use Searchtempest you can search all the Craigslist items within so many miles of your location. Cental to south east PA has plenty of those rakes. Good luck. Tom
