Are there any differences between dltx 71 or dltx 72 carbs? Power or anything?

Mike, Seems if they put a 72 nozzle in the 71 carb it would work ok. Just my two cents. Good Luck!
John

The 71 is for some A, AR & AO straight gas tractors.
The 72 is for some A, AR, AO & 60 (single induction) all-fuel tractors.

The load nozzles are different.

I got a 71 instead of a 72 in the mail yesterday, so that's why I'm wondering.

The 71 is the better , more refined carb and worth the most $$$ Keep it.

71 and 72 use same load nozzle , same throttle blade size. No change in power. All pertinent fuel control parts are same. 71 has spring controlled choke and little different pattern to pin port holes in bore wall by throttle blade. You won't notice any diff on tractor. The 71 shuts down tractor when throttle lever all way back whereas 72 does not so requires you to drain carb or just let it run out of fuel to stop...or use a magneto switch. 71 brings more $$$ but only because of public market perception. Same as the # 51 G carb does. If you bought what was represented to you as a 71...then you paid 71 price and make them give you a 71 or adjustment in price.

RandyB(MI),

The 71 and 72 did not use the same nozzle.

According to FSB 182-S (8/1/51) the 71 used load nozzle 47-193 and the 72 used load nozzle 47-310.

Doesn't matter what they came with back then, there is only one for both now. Pt # R 10116 . No one runs distillate or kero now anyway so a 72 with gas nozzle is a 71. gas nozzle is all you can buy now for the 71 /72. Most are running gas in their all fuel tractors now anyway so I would say it's a non-issue.

Roberts Carb used to have an online catalogue and parts book that specified every individual piece .
