Value of a JD Industrial sign

I have had this Industrial sign quite a few years. Have a fellow that wants to buy it but I don't know what kind of price to put on it so that we both could be satisfied. It is 6ftX6ft. Checked with Google but can't find anything similar????? Thanks Leon

I'd have somebody like Polk or Aumann auction it then you will know. Your friend may not be happy about that but anything other approach is guessing unless someone
here has bought the same exact thing recently to provide feedback. If the right person is looking while you are selling or auctioning it could easily go into four figures and if
nobody wants it other than your friend it may only fetch 100 dollars.
 
That's a cool looking sign. I have no idea
of price but like NY 986 said best to get
it appraised. I was at a sale earlier this
year and two JD signs sold for $5,000 and
$7,000. They were older than that one but
that that one could possibly be more rare.

hanks for the suggestions, I checked past auction results on Polks web site and didn't find anything similar so will keep looking. Lots of older and smaller ones bringing lots of money!! I don't think Polks is up in Canada.
 
I see on the mecom site their auction on Nov 6th to 9th has what looks like the large dealer sign in green and yellow will be interesting to see what that goes for.
