John Deere B Power Trol

Hello and thanks in advance for any advice. I have a ?45 model B with the power lift. I am going to change to the power trol. I am not sure what all parts I need to search for. Pump/ housing/gaskets / handle, etc. any knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Again.

You can just swap out the control box with one from a later tractor.

Control box from a B through a 70, might want a new gasket, and don't loose the spring at the bottom.

Make sure to get the bolts from the donor tractor... I think one or two might be longer than the ones from the power lift. Been 20 years since I did one, so maybe I could be mistaken.

I have a 49 B that I am going to take the power tool off and put a flat back on. I have never done this before. Is there any dos and don'ts I should know about before I start. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the comment. I haven?t taken my power lift off yet so I?m sorry I don?t have any advice, but I have to ask...what are your plans for the power trol you?re taking off? Does it work?

Don't forget that ONE bolt needs a copper washer on it because it is open to the oil reservoir. It will leak oil if that copper washer is not on the correct bolt.
