Repairing leaking manifold gasket. 1 out 4 bolts removed, 3 twisted off & drilled out.
John Deere has 3 bolts @ $40 each, did not have the shortest bolt.
Any resources to purchase the 4 manifold bolts?
Thanks Ron

Can't tell what model you are working on. I posted about what I do for model B a few months ago with pix, I think when I was putting the 39 B head on. Search the archives, see if you can find it. Basically, use low grade bolts, easier to drill out if there is a next time, just have to be real careful so as to NOT have too much thread into the head and bust the push rod tubes or bottom in blind holes.

BE CAREFULL on the bolt depth. Only go into the head the depth of a nut. Too deep and you will damage the brass push rod tubes and get a water leak into your oil. You may have to shorten one with a hacksaw. Don't ask how I know this....

Hardware store. Put some good sealer on the threads and they will be fine.
