I think I know the answer but I am asking for my nephew. How does the rock shaft on a B work? He inheired this B,the first thing after unloading it was to start building a shop. I think it will work with the factory plugs in the remote outlets. He's asking and I really do not know

In order for the rockshaft to work the Powr-trol valve housing needs to have the oil level up to the test cock and the PTO shaft has to be engaged.

An Operator's Manual would be a good thing for your nephew to have on hand.... b&d will probably come along shortly and give you the phone number to call for one.

Does the tractor have the Powr-Trol lever or the foot pedal to operate? Answer above is good. If Powr-Trol, it does need the "dummy" plugs in for the rockshaft to work. These plugs are in the locations where a remote cylinder would be connected.

vincegsc,

When the original poster said "with the factory plugs in the remote outlets" that means he's talking about a Powr_Trol. Not a Power Lift which is operated by a foot pedal unless a Baker Valve is installed then a hand lever operates the Power Lift.

He knows what you call "dummy" plugs and he calls factory plugs need to be installed for the rockshaft to operate.
