2510 PS park sticks

2510 power shift park sticking engaged. I have the top sheet metal off and just push down on the lever. I see that there is a spring that pulls the park in place, but what helps it disengage. The cable seems to move freely and I have JB'd the little lever that go into the trans. I have the battery box off so I can work on it. We bought it as a demonstrator when I was a senior in high school as our big tractor. Now it's the smallest but still the handiest. Thanks for any help, Jim

Check the linkage on the dash. It becomes worn and won't engage the park release lever. It just kinda skips past it and goes into gear without releasing park

Thats probably the issue I see the lever that pulls it up into park but not what disengages it or pulls it b ack up . Could it be missing completely.
