60 power steer leak

So my 60 has a leak in the power steering pedestal top where the steering wheel shaft enters.
Parts book shows a seal right where the shaft enters.
My IT manual doesn't specifically explain this repair.
Looks like after removing the steering shaft, you remove 2 bolts that hold the cone or housing where the seal goes, then simply replace the seal.
Is it that simple?
Thanks in advance.

Yes.

You'll need a gasket and a seal.

On the other hand, I would consider yanking the seal out with a screw-type dent puller and leaving the housing in place.

If the steering system is working well, the less you disturb it, the better.
