I just bought a 1944 L on Monday. After installing new points/rotor/condenser it started right up and could not run any better. I never touched the carb. When I turned it off it was very hard to get it to start again. I cleaned the carb and put a new rebuild kit in it. Didn't solve my problem. Starts easy cold, then very difficult once it has been running.
I have two LA's that start easy regardless of being cold or hot. I have talked with 4 other people this week who have either LA's ot L's and they tell me their machines start very hard when hot as well.
Any idea as to why this is? Seems like a somewhat common problem I am only now learning about.
Thanks
