ther seas an image of a 4020 with seals and a loader that was broken at the bellhousing area .
It had all the appearances of being rammed at high speed into solid loads .

hose all illustrate that it can happen. The one I was remembering was a larger JD and could see the beak at rear of engine casting. Thanks, all.

It must have been really moving. We have
a 4020 loader that was overloaded for
years before we got the 7800 and although
the old westendorf has been rewelded at
about every joint, and the hydraulic pump
replaced a couple times, the tractor held
up just fine. It has about as many
weights as you can possibly fit on it to
keep it on the ground.

The clutch housing is the weak link in most tractors..I have seen them break for other reasons than a loader..
