Just an up date on the sale that had a 520. I didn't buy it all tho you guys help me out on the price it went for 1750. I was interested in it but the guys were using it to move things and would only run on one cyl. After watching the guy run it the power steering didn't work and when it was parked I look it over and seen where some one had welded up the top water pipe by the block so I figure that there might also things inside bad. After the sale of the tractors the guy that bought it was so happy because he said to another guy that there is only 3 of them in Wisconsin and I believe there is more then that. He started work on it right away pulling wires off and finding the one not firing it had good spark to the plug so he change it and it still would not run on that side running it slow or fast. I was kinda scared to buy it because I did buy an A one time and there was a piston broke in it and welding all over inside the motor witch the tractor was parted out then.

Probably you should be glad you didn't get it. With the problems of the 520 you described, I would agree with you there more than likely were other problems also. Only 3 like it in Wisconsin? HMMM? Maybe in his mind! Over the years, I have bought three 520's, and one for the price you stated. Has very strong running engine and perfect sheet metal with original faded paint. There are many things to consider when buying....condition of tires, 3-pt hitch or not ( should atleast have rock-shaft arms ), power steering, does transmission shift lever move nice and smooth, etc. etc. The 520's are not worth as much as they used to be. A 520 is a real nice tractor, when in good condition. I certainly have enjoyed the ones I have.
