Stumped on my B

So I'm stumped have a 1937 B starts fine idles fine when when I give it full throttle and drive a little ways she wants to shut off so I throttle it back and then throttle it up again runs alittle bit than wants to shut off again as long as I keep throttling it up and down while driving it stays running. It's like it gets starving for gas when I disconnect the lines from the inline filter and the shut-off it has seems to flow fine threw the lines anyone have ideas and what I should check next. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would check the main nozzle in the carb. It has holes that fill with fuel to supply fuel when throttle id opened.

Many in line filters won't work with a gravity flow fuel system. Remove it. If you think you need a filter, NAPA has a #3039 or WIX 33039 that goes in the sediment bowl for about $5.00.

Sounds like your running out of fuel on the high circuit of your carb.

You can try adjusting the high side of your carb. If you've never done it, I can tell you how I was taught, and how I've done it for years. It won't do you any good if the fuel supply isn't there.

Another simple check is float height.

Beyond that, cleaning the carb thoroughly is not terribly complex but if you have never done it, there are things you will certainly be unaware of.

Never done anything on it before inherited
the tractor from dad who inherited it from
Grandpa sat on his collection for years
just starting to learn any help is
appreciated

Most in line filters are made for fuel system with a pump so I'll bet you a case of beer if you remove it the problem will go with it. BTDT and won at least 30 cases so far

I don't know probably did. I haven't tried it yet honestly I have no mechanical skills it looks simple enough but I'm afraid once I tear into it I'll screw up n make it worse I think I'm gunna save money up and take it to a shop and have them go threw the whole tractor and get it running perfectly. I appreciate all the advise
