Oil Pressure

Hi all. I just changed the oil in my new to me '44 B. I used SAE 30 Penzoil. Now the oil pressure is right on the H when full throttle and right on M when slow idling. I ran it for maybe 15 or 20 minutes two nights in a row.

Before the oil change it was usually a little above the M most of the time. The old oil seemed thinner. Iis this anything to be concerned about?

the old oil could have been contaminated with gas. causing it to be thinner. or a lighter weight oil.
all that matters is your oil pressure guage works and with a little thicker, and newer oil it works in the proper range. as you know.
like the other guy said. dont worry, be happy

Thank you for the replies. I've never had a tractor that actually had high oil pressure.
I thought something maybe wrong and didn't want to harm anything.

For Winter, use lighter oil or carefully warm the tractor up before using higher throttle settings...

NO need to stress the oil pump drive....

Just Saying.....

That's where I like mine set at. No worries. But if you want to that can be adjusted. On those year B's You have to take the top crankcase cover off to get to the adjustment on top of the oil filter can.
