720 diesel clutch adj. problems

I changed the seal on the clutch side of the crankshaft. I had excessive endplay on the flywheel, so I adjusted to the proper end play and now I can not get my clutch to adj. properly. All the clutch parts are in properly, but when you try to adjust the clutch, it will not operate properly. What do you think?

Not sure if you did but need to have clutch engaged when you set the clearance on the flywheel and something against the clutch pulley holding it to the left.

I set the end play with the clutch out. So do you think that would create my problem.

Tell us how you adjusted the flywheel end play. That adjustment on the two cylinder diesel can be tricky. Do you have another two cylinder near by you could pop the clutch cover off of to peak inside. Maybe you did not get it (the clutch) back together right, BTDT before.

Do you have a green dash or black dash tractor, as they are adjusted differently at the flywheel.
