We disconnected the + battery cable from the solenoid and charged both batteries together, and it worked great. They are
fairly new JD Strongbox batteries, and after 5 hours with a 10 amp charger the tractor started immediately. But, I put my
meter on the battery cable after it was running and only had about 12.6 volts at fast idle, so I suspect the charging system
is damaged. The owner was happy it started and went right out ad started discing, and it started fine the next day too. I will
check it again next time I visit. I would imagine it will run a long time without charging, should only be the injector pump
solenoid once it's started.

Thanks for update. Check tightness of fan belt & be sure fan belt backside extends above sheave sides. It's possible the charging system was inoperable before jump starting or charging was performed.
