Can you ID this Fender ???

Photo below of a fender that I was told was for a JD model M (or maybe a 40) but I don't think so. Can anyone hazard a guess as to what it might be? Not sure if it would be the right or the left. And not very big, sorry but I don't have any measurements but will find out length and height and post those later.

Take a look at the [b:654c4848f0]FENDER ASSEMBLY Model M[/b:654c4848f0] diagram below.

Note the left fender (Key 10).

Also note that the orientation of the fender in your photo is the same as in the diagram above.

Also note the two vertical holes and the five vertical [i:654c4848f0]ribs[/i:654c4848f0] cascading down to the footrest.

Take a look at the left fender from <a href="https://youtu.be/qDVlWlAVfik">"Sparky" our 51M</a> during the refurbish during 2016.

Hope this helps.

James ..... I would say that about nails it, definitely the left fender for a model M. Maybe the 40 as well since it followed right? Thanks for the help, well done !!!

Take a look at the [b:654c4848f0]FENDER ASSEMBLY[/b:654c4848f0] diagram below for the Model 40 S (Standard) and the photos of "Audie" our 1954 Model S.

Note the major difference in both of the foot rests.

Also note that these fenders are much smaller in size.

Also note there are two horizontal holes at the back of the left fender and one hole at the back of the right fender.

Also note that there are only four cascading [i:654c4848f0]ribs[/i:654c4848f0].

Hope this helps.
