JD 7510 AC issues

So I just bought a 10K houred JD 7510 to help do the feeding chores in the winter, and haying in the summer. It's basically a twin to the one we have, which has been one of the best tractors we've owned.

After getting it here from Kansas, It's got a couple problems- First one, is the front assist is engaged even with the switch in the off position.. But the real reason I'm here is because I need some insight on the AC system- I have an online repair manual source, but it does not show the electrical schematic of the AC circuit.

I do not have any power at the compressor. My static AC pressures read similar to ambient temp, so I don't see an issue there, yet. I've tried unplugging the high and low switches one at a time and using a jumper wire to bypass them, but still no power at the compressor. Checked the compressor wire, it had a couple bare spots in it where it had been rubbing on the AC lines- Repaired that, checked the fuse in the cab for that circuit (and the LH blower motor) and it is good. I also removed the AC switch and bypassed it as well to verify it wasn't the switch. I checked with a test light, I'm not getting power at either of those wires. So I'm wondering, where does the AC switch get it's power from? Do I need to remove the seat and test the relays down where the blower motors are? Any input on the subject would be great! Don't know how many posts for tractors of this vintage are the normal on this site, but thought I'd give it a whirl!

I feel a big fat "told ya so" coming from Tim S.!

Thanks
