Installed today sprayed some Aerosol grease down
the cable sheath on both the new cables hopefully
they will last awhile Longer now . These aftermarket
A&I cables are plastic coated for so that should
help as well 40$ . I see all states ag parts has just
the drive cable for 18$

Are you aware they make "speedometer cable lube" with graphite?

That would be my choice over grease, especially if the tractor will be operated in cold weather.

I've had good luck on the metal cables by coating them with neversieze as I feed them in the housing.
