Need help in finding a orginal seat for a john deere 301-A indurstral tractor restoring one for as a gift for my daughter she and her husband bought a small farm 30 acres not far from my farm only thing she asked for was the canary tractor as she called it when she was little, i need to find the entire hardware for the orginal from where it bolts on to the tractor up cushions are easy to find, anybody have suggestions were to look for one any salvage yards that might have one. That should not be hard to find. You can use a seat assembly from any Deere 1020,1520,2020,2030,2440 or 2640 tractor. There are new aftermarket assemblies that are cheaper than just the original replacement cushions but they are just ok. I prefer the original style. Deere also made a standard seat and a deluxe with the difference being a shock assembly. You go to JD Parts and look up the different options. Tom
