Crankshaft endplay for 630

I know this has been covered a lot, but just want to double check on how to set endplay on crankshaft of a 630. The service manual is a
little vague to me. I need to put the flywheel on and secure it with the lock nut. Then I need to make sure the crank is moved all the way to
left. Engage the clutch, set up a dial indicator on the flywheel, and move the lever back and forth still in the engaged position until the
correct endplay and tighten the bolts and lock nut?

I was attempting this earlier today, but I think I was messing up because I didn't have the crank on the clutch pulley side moved towards the
flywheel side. Just looking for a little reassurance. Thanks

You've got it right except the big nut is not a lock nut. It's used to move the flywheel "in" to get the crankshaft end play set at 0.005 to 0.010.
