620 hydraulic sludge

I recently bought a 620 that I?m changing fluids on. When I pulled the plug for the hydraulic oil nothing came out, that is until I stuck my finger up in a hole and poked a hole in the sludge. I dug all of it out that I can by reaching in with my finger and I also have a draining overnight. I don?t think I can get it all out. Is it going to give me trouble in the future?

yes. get it all out...spray a degreaser up the drain hole and through any other opening in the reservoir. Dirt is the hydraulic system's worst enemy

Put 3 gal of diesel in it and drive it stand. Not going to hurt anything if you're not loading it. Then drain. Repeat till diesel comes out looking pretty much the way you put it in

Sorry, I missread your post. I was thinking the transmission. Probably wouldn't put diesel in the hyd system. Just add new hyd oil and run it.
