4630 quad A range gear

We finally got transmission apart and when we looked at the A range gear it has two bushings inside. Bushings don't look the greatest so went to order bushings and couldn't find them. Called dealer and he couldn't find anything either. He discovered that you can't get the bushings and the only way to do it is to order a new gear for 1700 bucks but aren't any gears available anyhow. Anybody got any suggestions or just start looking for a used gear with better looking bushings or just put it back together. Thanks

I know they were not available,,they never were, I would run that one...

A good machine shop could make and install a new bushing just need to know exactly what size.

If you understand how a "collar shift" "constant mesh" transmission works you'll realize the only time there's any wear or shaft movement in relation to those bushings is when the tractor is NOT in second gear.

They are FINE.
