Radiator neck

Got a 41 model B with the small radiator neck and large cap. I ve heard both ways on how to install a new one. Some say solder a new one, some say knock it in with a block of wood. Can anybody give me a definitive answer? I also would like to put a new upper water pipe on it. I have a cast neck with the tube inside it bolted to the block. I believe that needs to be brazed in, is that correct?

Clean boree in the cast tank to bare metal, and press neck in. Some used shellac in the old days, I use Loctite.

And, yes, likely the steel pipe is brazed to the cast iron fitting.

Thanks Bob. I have some Indian Head shellac I can put in the neck before I press it in. Thanks a lot.
