John Deere 2030

New to the site and I have a new to me John Deere 2030 which I am fixing up a bit. I am running into a few issues which I need help with. I noticed that the prior radiator had at some point in time a fan strike which was repaired but looked like it impaired cooling, so I elected to replace the radiator and at the same time decided to put a new hydraulic cooler in. I was at first surprised at the difference in quality of the new radiator and cooler Vs the 1973 models, a lot less fins and metal in the new ones. The radiator fan had also at some point in the past been damaged by the fan strike to the radiator but had still been used. I ordered a new one, and a red plastic fan arrived, then I ordered again and I am waiting on a metal fan. Now to the issues:

1. The radiator and hyd cooler sit on a rubber bushing in theory between the frame rails with a bolt/spring from the bottom holding them in along with a upper rod. Both are contacting the frame rails prior to sitting on the rubber bushing. Seems I am missing something but parts diagrams do not show anything.

2. The clearance between the fan blades and the radiator is nill/zero when using the old bent fan or the new plastic one.

Looking it over, I am guessing that someone put in a wrong water pump in the past(could not find a part number on it, but it does have two capped rubber lines running off the bottom of it roughly), or I am not sure what is going wrong. Any thoughts greatly appreciated. It is a diesel model. The numbers off the tractor are: T5R3C 173910T

I have also noticed that new tin does not really fit well.

Thanks,

Brian

Welcome to the site! Is there any wrecking yards near you? Good used parts may be
better than the ones you have, and several models of that size might have the same
parts...2120, or 1840 etc.

Thanks Ben, There is a yard in Taylor Texas that we have some inquiries in to. Waiting on a console right now that is not as rust damaged.
