1520 Load Control Shaft Bushings

Drain hyd oil, remove draft links, put L/D selector under seat in"D",slide shaft out, take long bar & big hammer then drive bushings out from opposite side.

(quoted from post at 20:08:14 04/28/19) A 2 jaw inner puller and put shaft against it for other side and hammer it out easiest way I have found

May I ask what center bolt of 2 jaw puller rests against because bushing has about a 1'' hole in it & it would defeat purpose to push & pull on bushing.

Here is a picture it works great. Put
jaws where O ring goes. Put shaft again
puller for other side and hit with
hammer quick and easy

I've never witnessed puller utilized to pull L/D bushings but I've witnessed several bushings just driven out with a long bar from opposite side of trans case.

The puller doesn't pull the Bushings
out. You put the load shaft again the
puller jaws and hammer out it's even and
straight out. Can get both Bushings out
in less than 3 mins.

Thanks for explanation. When I saw your picture I realized driven rod would be placed in bush bore against puller jaws therefore causing bush to be removed evenly.
