John Deere blowing flames out of exhaust after hour long ...

Now it was way cool to see a 3 foot blue flame coming out of the exhaust when I idle down after a long tractor drive but I spent
a bunch of money on this beautiful AR and don?t want to break it on my first tractor drive. It?s not running to lean since it?s
popping black smoke out of the exhaust but it was really hot around the engine area but never got over 220 degrees. It does
have a power block in it and a distributor.

Running warm and blowing flames is a sign of it being lean. Are you sure it is black smoke and not grey? If it's grey it is lean.

It was definitely black. But I checked the coolant level this morning and it was definitely low I added a gallon of coolant and drove it around again and it would even climb over 180.
