1969 4020 clutch

Went to move tractor and when pushed clutch in in the last 2 inches of travel felt like a little bump pop something and now will not go into any gear, will go into park but not gears. Have had tractor since 97 no issues until this. Please advise what might be the problem. Thanks

Remove the inspection plate under the housing,, sounds like you broke a clutch bolt, you should be able to see it.

Just got back to tractor will go in all gears when not running but will not go if running, do not have manual and sorry am not sure where or which side of tractor to look? Thanks

Sorry Tim forgot I do have a tech manual looking now quick question is this a split fix.

I'm not Tim but if PP bolt broke a split is required to repair.

Ooh yes, I am near sure that a operating bolt broke,, one of 3,,it is more than time to freshen up the clutch, with a new assembly and a re-ground fly wheel,,new bearings,, I think you can get a good price on a complete set up on this site..half the price of Deere and just as good..the 4020 clutch is one of the easiest there is to repair..
