So how hard is it to change the belt on my 70? Haven?t yet but grabbed a new one with an order I placed. I?m hoping I can slip it over the fan and not need to pull anything?

Yes, that's how it should work.

Take a look, the fan probably isn't perfectly centered in the shroud, giving you more room in a certain area to slip the belt by.

maybe.. but it still has to pass between all of the blades and the shroud and have enough length to clear the whole fan

Bob is right, not too hard a job ....just rotate the fan til one blade is next to the widened area in the shroud, slip the belt over, rotate the fan til the next blade lines up with that spot and so on....once the belt is in front of the fan just work it past the blades, one at a time. Expect a few scraped knuckles.

Agree.

Don't remember too much trouble either removing or replacing the belt when replacing the water pump.

"Rotating the fan" means moving it either way against the friction drive "clutch". If it's frozen, you got a whole different grief. Hope not!
