Water, and lots of it in styled D crankcase

My styled D had a crankcase full of coolant, head is off now, no obvious damage or indication of source of leak. Would having the block and head Magnafluxed be a positive way to determine if either was cracked, or is there a better procedure to determine the source of the leak?

I don't know for sure but is there push rod tubes or some kind of tube that goes through the water jacket and if a wrong length bolt is put in the wrong place it hits the tube and leaks into crankcase. I might be totally wrong on this .
