Plow Identification

I was told this was a 415 model plow, but the upright looks different than the pictures I have seen. Can anyone identify this plow? And should it work behind my Massey Ferguson 65? Thanks in advance.

Dad bought a F45 new with his last 2040 in 1977. What you have looks like that plow. Good plow and should work fine on your tractor. A few years latter I ruined that plow when catching a rock with the 2510. I was going plenty fast and even though it had trips I still twisted it. That plow never layed the ground over right again. Thanks for the information guys. Quick look around tells me JD no longer makes parts for this plow. Anyone know of a aftermarket house that does? How do the shares look to you guys? Lots of life left or they are toast? Would hate to get into something and have to find a blacksmith to make up new parts. Thanks again.

The only parts you will ever need are wear parts like shears, landsides, moldboards and shins. Deere should have those parts but if not they are available aftermarket. There is a very slight chance you could break a roller in the trip but I doubt you will and the kit should be available from Deere or you could get used parts from an f145 of which there are thousands of still around. Does anyone have a book or link to the manual for an F45? I've never plowed before but would like to break some ground with this plow and want to make sure i have it setup correctly and use it correctly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

A little follow-up on this topic. I ended up buying these plows and used them for the first time this spring. I tried using my Massey Ferguson 65 and in my very heavy bottom clay soil that has not been turned over in years, the slightest uphill pull was too much for it. Even on a slight down hill it was all Fergie could do to pull these plows.

Ended up breaking the 3pt hitch on Fergie, got frustrated and bought a John Deere 5075E. That took care of the problem! Sod flipped right over behind Johnny.

Lost a couple bolts on the shins from the plow. Ordered some new ones today. Hopefully they fit.

Difficult to determine from the parts sheets what the right bolts are. I took a stab at buying some AA15892 bolts but they were too big. Wondering if AA28651 is the correct bolt but it is very difficult to tell. You can see in the image that the ones I bought are a bit bigger. Anyone know if AA28651 is smaller?

Update on my bolt search. I tried getting AA28651 bolts and they are even bigger. Ive been scouring for a parts break down of this plow and can not find anything. Anyone have an idea of what bolt to use?

What is the thread size of the bolt you are looking to replace?

Some DEERE plows were offered with optional bottoms that may or may not be in the parts catalog for the plow, here's links to two plow BOTTOMS catalogs you can peruse.

https://partscatalog.deere.com/jdrc/navigation/equipment/56825/

https://partscatalog.deere.com/jdrc/navigation/equipment/82858/

For other sources, by size, for the bolts you need, GOOGLE ''clipped head plow bolt''.

It's a 7/16-14 thread.
