630 breakaway couplers leaking

I have been working to get my powrtrol and rockshaft working on my 630. The hydraulic pump probably hasn't been engaged in at least 20 years. I put fresh oil in, then I engaged the hydraulic pump and worked with the levers. It's a single remote system. Then after shutting off the pump and moving the remote cylinder lever to a neutral position, I still am getting some oil leaking out of the breakaway couplers (or barrels or what each person calls them). Doesn't really stop leaking after a few minutes either, its just a very small amount dripping out over time now. I am guessing that there is o rings or seals that have gone bad after I started working with the system again? I have a parts diagram, I am just wondering what parts and how far up I need to stop the leaking in the couplers? Thank you

Probably rust somewhere. Rebuilt the couplers on my 730 a few years ago and just replaced them with new ones that are exactly like the originals. Was a pretty easy project.

Have you had anything plugged into the female coupler bodies?

Point being, there may be some debris under the checkballs, preventing them from seating oil-tight.

If this is not the case, there is no parts breakdown of the coupler bodies beyond the O-ring that seals to the male tip, and that is not involved when they leak without a tip plugged in.

Old part number for the coupler assembly was AF3000R, replaced by C14619, at about $20.00.

I don't know if they are "correct police" exactly like the originals, or not.

If the checkballs don't seal after using the couplers, as a temporary measure to stop the dripping you could install new O-rings, R21722, and plug in a male tip plugged at the threaded end with a 1/2" pipe plug.

Well you can install new couplers pretty easy. I did but still wanted to seep a little oil. Only way I could stop them was to buy an extra set of tips and put plugs in them and insert them into the couplers and that stopped the leaking.

you can replace the R495R o rings in the couplers where the hose ends seal then get new AF3001R dust plugs. these are the original steel plugs that seal with the oring i mentioned. even if you replace the whole coupler you'll still want these plugs to keep everything clean.
