Last year I put a new fuel gauge in my 1020 from this website. It never did anything besides showed full tank. Since then I put in a new fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel line, and fuel gauge sending unit from JD as I did find the old float would fill with fuel. Gauge still reads at full wit the new sending unit. I verified with an ohmmeter before installing the sending unit it is a 30 ohm unit and that it worked. Based on the screw pattern on the tank it can only be installed in one direction so it cannot be upside down. Did I cook the gauge with the bad sending unit last year? I am considering buying the gauge from JD but it is not cheap!
