working on a 4020 210,000 where does rear work light go? I believe I have the original rear fender definitely not reproduction-- it has a hole for a warning light but not for the work light. It had the r41231 support like later 4020's. Pictures or help please I don't want to start drilling holes

I think rear lamp mounted on rear of each fender on rowcrop model. Note keys 15 & 16

I think you must have been looking in parts catalog #859 not the correct parts catalog #1116 for a 4020 with serial number 210,000 because AR26755(key 13 in your photo) doesn't appear in the correct PC #1116!

(quoted from post at 20:31:21 04/11/19) no hole there

It's possible the fenders aren't the original fenders. I sold those same model 4020's when they were new & I'm fairly confident the rear light was bolted the back edge of LH fender

You have either replacement fenders or maybe the tractor had the original fenders removed for a cab and when the cab was removed a set of fenders from an early 10 or 20 series tractor were installed. I wish many of these old tractors could talk and tell us their past. Tom

Skip, you have a 1969 which has the light mounted on left fender .Measuring from the bottom of fender[not stand] the bottom hole is 17in and 1 in in.The top bolt will be about 1 1/2 in .It will also require a hole with rubber protector for wires and also a hole in fender frame for wires to go inside and through protector under fender stand. These special lights were also on Stolper and Hinsen cabs. The 68 and earlier had the post mounted on rockshaft center support lots of things happen in 40/50 years.

Dans diagram #13 bracket is welded on where diagram shows
On my 4020.

There is a yellow flasher on my left fender toward the rear.

I'll bet your 4020 serial number is below 200,999 while OP's 4020 serial number is above 201,000, There was some major changes performed to 4020's at SN 201,000 such as changing electrical system from 24V to 12V, changing from generator to alternator, moving hyd controls from LH side of dash to RH side of operator, changed location where rear light was mounted, etc
