1987 John Deere AMT 600 Gator cranking

I have a 1987 AMT Gator and cannot get it to start. It will turn over but will not fire. I have no spark at the plug, fuel is going to the carb. I have removed the coil and need to know how to test it and where to find a reasonably priced replacement. I have no problem re-wiring the entire gator back to conventional wiring thus eliminating all of the safety switches, un-necessary relays and circuit breakers, etc. Lights, etc., I can handle. Just not familiar with the stator methods. Can I use a standard after-market coil; if so, how is it to be wired into the existing harness.
Need some professional help here. thanks in advance.

If anyone is hurt now or in the future , on or around that AMT600. Even if the machine or yourself is not particularly at fault .
You have opened yourself up to liability in lawsuits due to being negligent and willfull endangerment .
Liable Lawyers miss nothing and they vacuum and sort through every internet post made from you name and ISP.
May as well fix it right now or wish that you had .

I sent you an email about getting a copy of the AMT 600 manual. If you could message me back I would appreciate it.

Thanks!!
